It was a beautiful, warm afternoon and evening filled with games, food and fun and wrapped up by a movie in the park at the end of the day. New friends were made, neighbors connected with each other and choruses of “What’s Next?!!” were heard all throughout the park. Congratulations go out to all the lucky winners of our donated raffle prizes for the event.
Our new community mural board was filled up in no time with great suggestions, ideas and dreams. We’ll be talking about those at our next meeting so come join us and give your input. We would love to hear what our neighbors are thinking and what we would all like to see next in Fruit Valley. We encourage big thinking – nothing is impossible when neighbors gather, plan and work together!
Planning meetings are held once a month on the 2nd Monday at 6:45pm, at the Habitat for Humanity office on 33rd St, just one block east of Main Street. Refreshments are served and kids are welcome. We look forward to seeing you there.
